Hallo ihr Lieben! Bei diesem Wetter bekommt man ja so richtig Lust auf Sonne, Strand und Meer. Passend dazu habe ich heute ein Meer-Karten-Duo für euch. Die zwei Karten waren dank Distress Oxide Farben im Nu fertig – warum? Seht selbst:
Auf meiner Tim Holtz Unterlage habe ich mit drei Distress Oxide Stempelkissen, nämlich faded jeans, salty ocean und broken china, Farben aufgetragen. Danach habe ich etwas Wasser mit einer Sprühflasche hinzugefügt.
Je mehr Wasser ihr verwendet, desto mehr vermischen sich die Farben am Papier. Dazu einfach die Oberseite des Aquarell-Papiers in die Farben drücken und ganz leicht hin und her bewegen (je nachdem wie sehr ihr die Farben vermischen möchtet). Danach habe ich das Papier mit einem Heißluftföhn getrocknet und es noch ein paar Mal in die Farben „getaucht“. Dazwischen habe ich immer wieder Farbe auf die Unterlage aufgetragen und mit der Sprühflasche auch direkt auf das Papier Wasserspritzer verteilt. Für einen tollen Effekt, nach jedem Mal wiederholen das Papier kurz trocknen. So verschwimmen die Farben nicht nur, sonder es ergeben sich tolle Farb-Schichten.
Danach habe ich den Cardstock auf 12×12 cm zugeschnitten und die „Big Happy Birthday“ Stanze von Mama Elephant verwendet. Mit Foam Tape/Dots habe ich anschließend das Negativ von der Stanze auf eine quadratische Kartenbasis geklebt – Hintergrund 1 war damit fertig.
Für den zweiten Hintergrund habe ich die gleiche Stanze noch 2x von weißem Cardstock gestanzt und alle Schichten übereinander geklebt. Dadurch hebt sich der Spruch toll von der restlichen Karte ab. Ich verwendete die „Scales Cover“ Stanze und ein wenig tumbled glass Distress Oxide Farbe für einen zarten Hintergrund. Dieser wurde auf 11×11 cm zugeschnitten und ebenfalls auf eine weiße Kartenbasis geklebt.
Mit Copic-Stiften bewaffnet ging es dann an die Motive von „Little Mermaid Agenda“ und „Marine Friends„. Nachdem ich alle koloriert und ausgestanzt hatte, befestigte ich alle Teile auf den beiden Hintergründen und fügte noch Nuvo Drops hinzu.

Hello everyone! In Austria the weather is really bad at the moment – so we look forward to the holiday time – sun, beach and ocean! Accordingly I created an ocean-themed card duo today. Due to the distress oxide inks creating the two cards was very quick.
I applied some distress oxide inks, faded jeans, salty ocean and broken china, to my Tim Holtz glass mat and added some water sprizzes.
If you use more water the colors will mix more. Just smoosh your watercolor paper into the colors and move it slightly (depending on how much they should mix). I used my heat gun to dry the paper and repeated the same procedure a few times. I also added some water droplets directly to the watercolor paper. Between each layer I used the heatgun to dry the colors.
I cut the paper down to 12×12 cm and diecut the „Big Happy Birthday“ die from Mama Elephant. I adhered the negative piece with foam tape/dots onto a square card base. Background 1 was done.
For the second background I used the same die two more times on so that I could stack 3 layers of the sentiment. This creates an awesome dimension on the card. Then I used the „Scales Cover“ die and applied some tumbled glass Distress Oxide color for a soft background. I cut it down to 11×11 cm and used another white card base.
For the adorable images from „Little Mermaid Agenda“ and „Marine Friends“ I decided to go with Copics. After coloring and diecutting everything I adhered the images to the backgrounds and added some Nuvo Drops.
